Any fan of the Plainsmen football team will tell you, when Enid takes the field, they can depend on Luke Rauh to give everything he has for a Plainsman victory. Rauh has played the game of football for years with many of his current teammates.
“I’ve been playing football since the second grade, so nine years now,” said Rauh. “Things I love most about my teammates is their underdog mentality and how hard we all work while still having fun.”
The hard work is nothing new to the junior. Rauh is the type of player to go hard in practice just as he does in the game. Something anyone who has played his position can understand.
“I play running back,” said Rauh. “The thing I love most about the game of football is competing, because I’ve always been super competitive.”
Football and grades are his focus this semester, but Rauh also plays basketball in the winter months and competes in track and field during the spring. Away from school and sports, you can usually find him spending time with friends.
“In my free time I mostly just play video games or hang out with my friends,” said Rauh.
The junior is making plans for his future once his playing days in high school are over.
“After I graduate, I plan on going to college and playing football wherever I can, division I or not,” said Rauh.
Anyone looking for a hard-working running back who has no off-switch, Rauh is your man.
