Brittain Combs is a sophomore at Enid High School where he plays football and runs track. He plays middle linebacker for the Plainsmen in football and ran the 400 last spring for the varsity track team. His highlight is starting almost every game this past season in football.
Britt is treasurer for the Enid High FCA group and attends Oakwood Christian Church. He wanted to join FCA when he got to high school and enjoys the worship time with his peers and always has fun during fellowship time. FCA sponsor Denim Sullivan calls Britt a great kid and one of the FCA leaders.
‘Britt is a quiet young man but leads by example. He is very mature for a sophomore. Britt is diligent, very strong, works hard, never complains and, simply, brings it every day. “
Britt makes good grades taking mostly honors classes. His favorite class is history and he has always thought history is interesting. He wants to go to college and play football at the next level. What advice would he give a youngster about playing sports?
“If you want to be great, you have to work harder than your teammates and your opponents. You have to stick with it because there are good times and tough times.”
It will be fun to keep track of Britt! He has a big opportunity ahead of him with two years of high school left to attain his goals. He is a young man that seems to have his priorities in line.
