ENID PACER SOFTBALL looks to take another step forward!

Despite the loss of several key players, Enid Pacer fastpitch softball coach Chris Jensen is optimistic the Pacer softball program can continue their improvement!

Chris Jensen took over the program in 2020.  Pacer softball had won only 13 games the previous three seasons.  He has turned the program around in just four short years.  He has done it by developing a culture, stressing fundamentals, working hard and having fun.  While, staying patient and expecting his players to hustle and to compete on every pitch.

Enid Public Schools administration had the vision to make improvements to Pacer Field in Meadowlake Park.  A new turf infield in 2015, plus a new scoreboard and new lights were installed.  The Pacers have a new indoor facility and new seating behind home plate.  Coach Jensen thinks all the improvements make a big difference in helping his program be successful.

Enid’s Field

The 2024 Pacers will have several key players returning and a few new players.  Some of the key players are Cassidy Patterson, Kenlee Adams and Andee Rader plus Kinzley Lebeda, Annabelle Cotton plus move-in Palmer Pasby.  There are some solid young players (freshman) like Hallie Goldsmith and Lauren and Sarah Jensen that could see some playing time.

The Pacers will concentrate on Summer Pride, playing a few summer league games in Enid allowing Coach Jensen to do a lot of evaluating.  Most players are playing travel ball during the summer.

The high school season begins July 15.  The Pacer goals are to win 30 games, host a regional and make the state tournament.  Coach Jensen has a plan and a good coaching staff so look for the Pacers to make a run at achieving those goals this season.
