VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Sage: I am a senior at Enid High School and I play basketball and tennis.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Sage: My mom inspires me to be a good person no matter what. She is the one person I can
talk to about anything with, she’s my best friend. She supports me in everything I do or want to
achieve. She has given up so much just so I have the opportunity to follow my dreams.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Sage: My favorite teacher would be Ms. Bush. She was my junior math teacher and still helps
me today.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Sage: In my sophomore and junior years I had the privilege to spend time on the court with
Enslie Crawford. She always brought joy and laughter to the game and especially when we
needed it the most.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Sage: I’m most proud of making it to state for tennis my sophomore year.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?
Sage: Playing basketball has taught me to never give up no matter what you’re up against. I’ve
been through a lot, but I’ve stuck with it.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Sage: The best advice anyone has ever given me was to get out of my head and play the game
I know I can.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Sage: I’m in the National Honor Society, Student Council, Senior Class Officer, and trombone
section leader in the Big Blue Band.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take
with you?
Sage: The place I’d want to go on vacation would be Orlando. I’d want to visit all the parks at
Disney World, and Universal Studios.
