Enid’s Niki Polesky – Mom Spotlight – Presented by RibCrib

Niki Polesky does a lot of the little things in volunteering her time with various athletic programs at Enid High School.

Polesky is the mother of three children – Curtis, Brandon and Addison. Curtis and Brandon are graduates who played football, ran track and played basketball. Addison is currently a junior and plays on the volleyball team after previously being a cheerleader and running track.

“The activities that I tend to volunteer with are usually aligned with whatever my children’s sports have needed,” Niki said. “Whether it’s helping clean up trash off a highway to give back to the community, bake goodies for fundraisers, or helping organize team bonding events before and during the season.

“It’s important to be involved so your children always know that you support them. Volunteering for the different roles that teams need of parents, sets an example to the children that no matter what role you might play, they are all important to ensuring that you have a successful team, win or lose.”

Seeing happiness from those she helps support is important for Niki.

“Taking the stress of something as simple as organizing a bake sale or any other event to help raise funds for new equipment and then their reactions makes it all worthwhile,” she said.

Family time is essential for Niki.

“Family is important to us. Sports over the last eight years have kept our family pretty busy as we are all extremely supportive of one another and try to be everyone’s games,” she said. “When that rare occasion of a free weekend happens we love to watch a good movie together or play some type of family game.”
