Enid’s Alivia Stanley – Presented by Ladusau Evans Funeral Home

There is a lot of time and effort that goes into athletes becoming the best that they can be, no matter what sport they compete in. Alivia Stanley knows what it takes in order to be ready when game day comes around.

“In order to be successful, it takes a lot of hard work and determination,” she said. “I keep setting goals and working to reach them. I have wanted to be a cheerleader since I was little and that is what motivates me to give 100% everyday.”

Stanley is in her junior year at Enid High School. She is a member of the cheerleading team and also serves as the manager of the track team. Outside of athletics, she is also involved in the National Honor Society, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, show choir, concert choir, and her church.

Throughout her cheer career, Stanley has had a lot of great experiences with her teammates, but she says that there was one game that was the most memorable.

“Honestly one of my favorite memories was cheering in the snow my freshman year during playoffs,” she said.

While she enjoys being an athlete for Enid, Alivia knows that in order to be able to compete, she also has to maintain her grades in the classroom. And she knows that she has to keep her priorities in order.

“It takes dedication and perseverance to balance being a student athlete,” she said. “Because sometimes you have to stay up and still do the work even when you don’t really want to.”

Looking back, Alivia knows that she has had some outstanding teachers that she has learned from. But she has one that stands out as her favorite.

“Mrs. Dobrinski would have to be my favorite teacher,” she said. “She was my fourth grade teacher and she helped me learn my educational strengths.”
