Enid’s Aidan Robinson – Presented by Security National Bank

It was senior night, and Aidan Robinson was leading his team under the Friday night lights. The game was going as planned—until one moment changed everything. A hard hit took him to the ground, and as he stood up, he knew something was wrong. His collarbone was broken. Just like that, his final football season was over.

“It was tough,” Robinson said. “Missing the rest of the season was hard, but I knew I had to shift my focus to baseball and finish strong.”

A two-sport athlete at Enid High School, Robinson has played baseball and football for as long as he can remember.

While he excelled at both, baseball was always his true passion. As a quarterback and punter in football, and a shortstop and pitcher in baseball, his leadership and versatility have made him a key player.

“Baseball has always been my sport,” Robinson said. “Football came naturally, but baseball is what I love the most.”

Despite the setback in football, Robinson is ready for his senior baseball season.

While this year’s team has a lot of young players, expectations remain high.

“There are going to be challenges, but the goal is to win a state championship,” Robinson said.

Robinson’s work ethic has been shaped by his biggest role model—his father.

“He’s always been there for me, working hard and putting others first,” Robinson said. “I try to take that same mindset onto the field.”

After high school, Robinson will continue his baseball career at Redlands Community College, a Division II junior college in Oklahoma. His plan is to develop his skills there for two years before transferring to a four-year program.

“My dream is to keep playing as long as I can,” Robinson said. “Right now, I just want to finish this season strong and take my team as far as possible.”
